Intuit adjusts QuickBooks pricing to reflect new features, technology upgrades, improved security, and ongoing product support that enhance user experience.
Price changes generally affect QuickBooks Online subscriptions, QuickBooks Desktop versions, payroll services, and add-ons. However, the exact impact depends on the product or plan you’re subscribed to.
The updated pricing usually applies to your next billing cycle after the announced effective date. Current subscribers will be notified by Intuit in advance via email or in-product alerts.
The amount of the increase varies by plan. For instance, QuickBooks Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced may each have different updated prices. Payroll and time-tracking services may also reflect separate adjustments.
In most cases, Intuit does not offer grandfathered pricing. All users move to the updated rates, though occasional promotional discounts may apply for new customers.

Yes, in recent years, Intuit has also raised pricing for QuickBooks Desktop, including Pro, Premier, and Enterprise subscriptions, along with payroll add-ons.
