  3. Select Bring back all one-time messages, and then OK.

If you don’t have any prompts to upgrade, that means you made a one-time purchase of QuickBooks. There is an easy upgrade tool that can be found by clicking on your Account tab in the right sidebar. Here’s how to use it!

  1. Open the Help menu and select Upgrade QuickBooks
  2. Select the version you need, then select Upgrade Now.
  3. If you want to keep your current version of QuickBooks, you can. Select Keep old version on my computer, then select Let’s go.
  4. When you download the new version, QuickBooks will install it for you. It will then update your company files to the new version and lock them in so that no one else can access your old files or data.

  2. Enter the License and Product Number, then click Continue to finish the upgrade.

You can’t get the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop from the QuickBooks Desktop Manager. You have to download and install each product you want to use individually.

  1. Log in to your Right Networks account with your email address and password.

  3. Use the search bar to find out how to install your desired QuickBooks version. Then click on the app and it will take you directly to that version of QuickBooks.
  4. When you install the app, you’ll see a prompt and you’ll be given a shortcut on your desktop.

The next time you sign in using your email address and password, you’ll see QuickBooks on the desktop. If you can’t find it, try re-adding the app. You may need to sign out and back in again to access the new installation.

Upgrade your company files after you switch to a new version of QuickBooks Desktop

If you decide to upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop file with a newer version, you’ll need to upgrade your current company file. Once you do, all future transactions can be entered automatically.

Note: When switching to a different edition (Pro, Premier, Enterprise), you don’t need to upgrade your file.

The new QuickBooks Desktop is not the same as updating your software to the latest version.

If you have an older company file and it’s not compatible with a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop, here are some steps that you can follow to upgrade.

Step 1: Install QuickBooks
