Check the Windows System Information app

When your software hangs on the splash screen once you have entered your login details, it could be a problem with the Windows System Information app. Let us check:

  • Go to the Windows search bar and enter system information.
  • Next, click System Information

Once this window populates, then there is no problem with the System Information App, so now you simply have to move on to the next section in this article.

After the System Information window goes blank, this shows the presence of an issue.

To resolve this:

  • Go to the Windows search bar and enter cmd
  • Next, right-click Command Prompt.
  • Now click Run as administrator.
  • After this, type net stop winmgmt.
  • Now click on Enter, when asked if you wish to continue press Y.

  • After this type winmgmt /resetrepository.
  • Finally, press Enter.

The above steps will report that the repository has been reset.

  • Next close the Command Prompt.

This might report that the WMI Service has already begun, which can be expected.

  • Now open the Sage 50 Accounts
  • Next log in to the company. When the problem persists, go to the next step.
