How To Import QBO File In QuickBooks Online

4 Methods Importing QBO File In QB Online

Option 1: By downloading the QBO files

  1. Select Baking from the menu bar
  2. Choose Bank Feeds
  3. Click Import Web Connect Files
  4. Select the file you want to import
  5. Click Open
  6. For the Select Bank Account option that gets prompted next, you can
    1. Use an existing QB account
    2. Create a new one
  7. Click Continue. You will receive a notification that the required data has been read to QB successfully.
  8. Click OK
  9. Move to Bank Feeds Center and review your data

Option 2: By logging in to QB Online

  1. Login to QB Online
  2. Click on Banking
  3. Select the account if already created or create a new one
  4. Find and click on File Upload
  5. Select Browse
  6. Choose the file
  7. Click Open, then click Next
  8. Review the data to be imported, which include Account details like ID, type, and Date range
  9. If all’s okay, select the QB account you want the data to be imported into
  10. Click Next
  11. Click Let’s go
  12. Choose For Review and map the fields
  13. To add new transactions, click Add.
  14. In case you found incorrect data and you don’t want to keep those transactions in the list of imported stuff, you can:
    1. Choose Batch actions
    2. Click on Exclude Selected
    3. Navigate to Excluded
    4. Select them all again
    5. Choose Batch actions
    6. Click Delete and those transactions will be deleted

Option 3: For Windows

  1. Even before the import process starts, check the account against the yellow strike icon. To do that:
    1. Select Lists
    2. Choose Chart of Accounts

If you see the icon, it will mean the account is equipped with the virtual direct download feature. Thus, the first step would be to disconnect the settings.  To do that:

  1. Right-click Edit Account
  2. Choose Bank Feed Settings
  • Click on Deactivate All Online Services
  1. Check for the yellow strike icon one more time
  2. Now move to File
  3. Click Utilities
  4. Choose Import
  5. Click on Web Connect Files
  6. Choose the QBO file to be imported
  7. Check the selected account and the data in it
  8. Click Continue
  9. Your data gets imported
  10. Review the imported transactions by choosing Transaction List

Option 4: For MacOS

  1. Prior to beginning with the import, check the account against the blue ball icon. Follow Option 3 Step 1 (a-b), and then:

 

  1. Right-click Edit Account
  2. Choose Online Settings
  • Click on Not enabled
  1. Click Save
  2. Click OK

 

  1. Repeat the steps mentioned in Option 3 Steps 2-10
